Dr Mourya joined the University of Wolverhampton (UoW) as a Lecturer and Researcher at School of Engineering, Computing and Mathematical Science (FSE) in October 2023.
Prior to this, he worked for 6 years as a Research Associate at School of Engineering and Physical Sciences (EPS), Heriot-Watt University on several research projects funded by EPSRC and 18 months as a PostDoc researcher at Telecom ParisTech, Paris. He has also worked as Embedded System Engineer for 4 years in a start-up company called ID Technologies in Pune, India just after finishing his Engineering degree.
He has a PhD and MSc degree in Computer Science (speciality: Signal, Image, Vision) from Jean Monnet University, Saint-Etienne, France, and BEng in Electronics & Telecom from University of Pune, India.
Dr Mourya's research focuses on developing fundamental tools for machine learning, computer vision, and inverse problems. This includes optimization theory and algorithms, signal/image processing and analysis, learning theory, and data science.
