Biography


Dr Shah Samiur Rashid is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, University of Science and Technology Chittagong (USTC), Bangladesh. He has a long global exposure in the area of research, teaching & learning. He has conferred his doctoral degree from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) in Biotechnology Engineering and has extensive experience in research and teaching in Malaysia. Dr. Rashid’s efforts in biotechnology involve conducting research in various areas such as sustainable biofuels, natural products, and clinical microbiology, which have a great impact on finding treatments for diseases such as cancer and vaccine candidates for deadly human pathogens as well as developing next generation biofuels. Currently he is intensely working on hybridization of ferromagnetic nano-technology and industrial enzymes for different biotechnological applications. His researches have been acknowledged through publication in many high impact journals.
