Biography


Taha Hussein Rassem is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at Bournemouth University, UK. He worked as a senior lecturer in the Faculty of Computing, University Malaysia Pahang (UMP) from 2014 until 2021. Ressam received his Ph.D. in Imaging from Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang, Malaysia. Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Computer Science from the University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad, India. Bachelor of Sciences (B.Sc.) in Computer Engineering from University of Technology, Baghdad, Iraq. His current research interests include Image Classification, Object Recognition, Deep learning, and Image Watermarking. Prior to joining USM, He has academic experience in the fields of computer engineering, computer science, programming, and networking. His current teaching interests include Programming, Image processing, multimedia subjects, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Graphical User Interface, Human-Computer Interaction, and Android Mobile Application Development. Ressam has been working as a reviewer for several international journals with good reputations and indexes. He is a professional member of the British Computer Society (MBCS), a professional member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET), a senior member of IEEE, a member of the International Association of Engineers (IAENG), and a professional technologist member of Malaysia board of technologists (MBOT).
